The route, known as the Pienińska Road, leads along the picturesque Dunajec valley between Szczawnica and the Slovakian Červený Kláštor. The road leads over the river meandering in the deep valley, amidst rocks towering above its banks. Apart from natural attractions, attention is drawn by the museums – PTTK Mountain Tourism Cultural Centre at the Orlica mountain lodge, pavillion-museum of the Pieniny National Park and, in Slovakia, Červený Kláštor full of legends and rich history. The route may be covered on foot or by bike – travelling by car is prohibited.

The course of the route: Szczawnica – branching of the blue route – crossing the Dunajec River near Sokolica – state border – branching of the blue route – Červený Kláštor
