Preface, that is to say about the track in few words
“To see more…” is a track for tourists seeking aesthetic feelings, picturesque landscapes and the best viewpoints located in the mountains - closer to nature, closer to sacrum.
The mountains always attract lovers of beautiful sceneries. The delights of climbing mountain peaks are highly enhanced when we can admire an impressive panoramas that often take away your breath. Southern Małopolska (literally “Little Poland”) is a region of beautiful landscapes and numerous spots where visitors can admire the beauty of nature. You can look at its unusual landscape, including the Tatras, Beskids, Pieniny and foothills as a part of the Carpathian arc. It spreads from the Danube valley near Bratislava up to the Iron Gates of Danube in Romania, thus being one of the largest mountain ranges in Central Europe and playing an important role as a tourist and rest area.
The track named “To see more: astronomical observatories, Carpathians viewpoints and panoramas” as a network of distributed points is a subjective choice of the most beautiful places and panoramas of the Carpathians in Małopolska. This track will lead tourists to Carpathian summits and viewpoints that have been chosen within more important mountain ranges, while considering its popularity, availability and facilities for tourists searching for beautiful landscapes, i.e. sighting towers and platforms. Astronomical observatories providing closer look at Carpathian sky have been also included into the track.
At each track spot you can find a description, brief information on all can observe and suggested routes leading to the destination, including approximate walking time that depends on weather conditions, individual condition and other particular factors. When planning an excursion it important to take also the time of going down into account. However, the most important is to be and see more!
